- Ontario Scores The Guiness World Record...For Longest Poison Ivy Plant
Robert Fedrock of Paris, Ontario, thought the vine sneaking up one of the trees on his property looked suspicious. It wasn't until he began digging out a nearby buckthorn plant to get a better view that he realized...oh yeah, this is definitely poison ivy. The telltale rash broke out on his hands, arms, face and stomach to prove his hypothesis. His friend suggested he submit the unusually tall vine to Guinness World Records, so he did. The results came back confirming that yes, he did have the tallest poison ivy plant in the world, standing at a whopping 68 feet. Not quite the record Ontario was striving to hold, but a world record we hold nonetheless.
