A 25-year old woman from Uxbridge was seriously injured in a collision yesterday morning. It happened just after 5:30am; members of North Division responded to a crash on Sandford Rd. near Uxbridge Concession Rd. 2. Witnesses say the driver of a white Chevy Malibu lost control of the vehicle before it veered off the highway and rolled. The driver was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital where she was treated for serious injuries, and transferred by air ambulance to a Toronto-area trauma centre where she remains in critical condition. The road remained closed for several hours yesterday while members of the Collision Investigation Unit examined the scene.
