A total of nineteen people have been charged following an extensive investigation by Durham Regional Police and the RCMP. "Project Vickery" was launched in the fall, and targeted drug traffickers throughout the GTA with fifteen search warrants executed in Durham Region, Peel Region, Toronto, and Kingston. Approximately $1.5 million worth of drugs including cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin were seized along with four firearms. $600,000 in cash, and five vehicles deemed to be proceeds of crime were also seized by police. Those arrested face a total of 148 charges.
