Uxbridge residents are expressing concern over the possible sale of a parkette on King St., one of four pieces of land council is considering declaring surplus in its Parks Master Plan. Despite one neighbour claiming she has been fighting to protect the park for 40 years, Councillor Willie Popp says he hasn’t had much feedback about the park being neglected, and suggested that could be an indication of low usage. If sold, proceeds from any underutilized parklands to fund new development for the Fields of Uxbridge.
