Two Suspects Arrested Following Break And Enters In North Durham

Two Scugog residents are facing a combined 26 charges following a break-and-enter investigation in north Durham. Several businesses in the area were broken into, including pool supply stores, marine stores, restaurants, and an animal hospital. Cash and merchandise were taken from several of the businesses; the two suspects involved were identified by surveillance video and located in York Region where they were arrested. A search warrant was issued for a Scugog residence where several of the stolen items were located. 42-year old Shannon Brown of Cochrane Court in Scugog and 45-year old Justin Puckrin of Bay Street in Scugog face several break-and-enter theft-related charges; both suspects are accused of seven alleged commercial break-and-enters, and the investigation is ongoing.
