Truck Traffic To Ease In Downtown Uxbridge

The Culvert project in downtown Uxbridge could end up addressing more than issues with potential flooding. Councilor Willie Popp, Chair of the Public Works Committee, says the culvert project will force the diversion of heavy trucks from downtown Uxbridge and that likely will be a starting point to keeping them out of the downtown core long term. A number of councilors and Mayor Dave Barton campaigned on reducing the amount of truck traffic in the downtown core.
