Efforts continue to increase safety on roads around Uxbridge Township. Recent surveys have been completed looking at speeding in certain so called "hotspots". Reach Road is the biggest concern for speeders on a regional road, while Centre Road is the biggest problem on a township-controlled road. Township of Uxbridge Mayor Dave Barton says Centre Road is very wide, and traffic calming measures may be needed to slow traffic down. Over a six-day period in May, over 1400 cars used Centre Road. In the 50 km/hr zone, 23 cars were going at least 85 km/h.
