Three Arrested On Charges Of Alleged Human Trafficking

Human trafficking and drug-related charges have been laid against two men and a woman after police alleged that they forced a 15-year old girl to take drugs and perform sexual acts. Durham Regional Police Services launched an investigation that led to the search of a home in the area of Courtice Rd. and Hwy. 2 in Clarington on Tuesday, where the arrests were made and drugs were seized. 20-year old Andrew Thorne of Bowmanville, 20-year old Jaden Lunau of Clarington, and 25-year old Tylor Lunau also of Clarington all face numerous charges. The Human Trafficking Unit is asking anyone with information to come forward; the charges against those involved have not been proven.
