Durham Regional Police have provided an update on a violent home invasion in Uxbridge. Members of North Division executed several warrants in the area following reports of a break-in that happened on Sunday morning at a residence near Reach Street and Testa Road. Five teenage suspects entered a bedroom and attacked a teenage victim with a baton and a metal pipe before an adult confronted them and attempted to push them out of the house. They eventually fled the scene. Three males have been charged in connection with the incident; 18-year old Abdullah Haq of Markham, 18-year old Jahid Golan of Uxbridge, and an unnamed 17-year old male from Uxbridge. They were held for a bail hearing; anyone with new information about the incident is asked to call North Division. The charges against the suspects have not been proven.
