The intersection of Rossland Rd. W. and Cochrane St. in Whitby was closed for much of the afternoon yesterday after a teenager was struck by a vehicle just after 2:30pm. According to reports the boy was hit after a car mounted the curb following a two-vehicle collision; the boy was on the sidewalk at the time. Emergency crews attended the scene near All Saints' Catholic School and Donald A. Wilson Secondary School. The was no word on the seriousness of the injuries.
