Police in Durham Region are looking for a suspect they say stole a car during a test drive after responding to an online ad. The alleged theft occurred in Ajax last week. The owner of the vehicle had listed a 2016 Toyota Camry for sale on autotrader.ca. According to police, the suspect allegedly asked if he could test the car’s brakes, then reversed and sped away. He’s described as male, in his mid-to-late 20’s with a slender build and full beard. The grey, four-door vehicle has the license plate CXHV 224. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
