A 76-year old woman from Uxbridge was seriously injured after being involved in a collision on Lakeridge Rd. near Highway 47. The crash happened on Sunday at about 12:30pm. Members of North Division were called to the area after reports that two vehicles were involved in a t-bone collision. The female driver of a red Pontiac Sunfire was extricated and rushed to a Toronto-area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries; a 59-year old driver of a Jeep Compass and her passenger remained at the scene and were treated for minor injuries. The intersection was closed for several hours while evidence was collected; anyone with information about the incident or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Traffic Services Branch.
