Scugog Street Seizure Surpasses 20k

A Toronto man has been charged after police located plenty of both drugs and drug paraphernalia during a routine traffic stop in Scugog Township. Durham regional police say the stop took place just before 2 AM at in the area of Highway 7/12 and Scugog Line 12. The vehicle was reportedly travelling slower than the limit, and weaving to boot. Upon stopping the vehicle, the odour of cannabis was also detected. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded cocaine, fentanyl, MDMA, and crystal meth, among other discoveries. The seizure’s street value was placed at more than 20,000 dollars. 26 year old Tevin Ellis of Toronto is being held for a bail hearing.
