Pickering-Uxbridge MP Jennifer O'Connell paid a visit to Uxbridge council this week. O'Connell says she has been pushing for money for a new pool in Uxbridge. Federal funds could be available under a program administered by the Province. O'Connell says the Federal government helps fund projects like new pool construction under its Community Spaces infrastructure program, but the Provinces and Territories take the lead on the application process and setting priorities. The Township of Uxbridge is waiting for that process to begin to apply for funding.
