Oshawa Fires Cause Extensive Damages

The Ontario Fire Marshall and Durham Regional Police are investigating two fires that broke out in Oshawa early Sunday morning; the first at a building under construction on Bloor St. at around 2:30am, then another an hour later when the rear half of a house burst into flames on College Av. Eight fire trucks were required to combat the overnight blazes which caused a combined $6 million in damages. There is no word yet on whether the fires were in any way connected, and investigators are trying to determine whether the blazes were accidental or intentional.
