New Police Sub Station Coming To Uxbridge

Uxbridge will soon be home to a police sub station once again. Following the closure of the sub station on Brock Street for the culvert project, Durham Region Police Services are getting set to open a new location near the Zehrs plaza. Inspector Dave Saliba is the officer in charge of North Division which covers Uxbridge, Port Perry and Brock; he says the re-opening is tied in with greater presence including officers walking a beat. The Township of Uxbridge is also currently working with Durham Region Police Services on a strategy to reduce downtown truck traffic.
