Life for pedestrians is about to get a little easier for Township of Uxbridge residents. Two permanent crosswalks are being installed to make it cross busy thoroughfares. Township of Uxbridge Mayor Dave Barton says both locations will soon have crossing lights. Crossing guards had previously been used for school crossings but there were no light markings. Durham Police will be monitoring traffic to ensure drivers obey the new lights.
