Motorcyclist Seriously Injured

A 53-year old man from Oshawa was seriously injured in a collision in Scugog Township Saturday evening. It happened just after 6:30pm on Manver-Scugog Townline between Drum Rd. and Telecom Rd. Police say a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and rushed from the collision scene by air ambulance to a Toronto-area trauma centre, where he was treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. He remains in stable condition; the road was closed for several hours while members from the Collision Investigation Unit gathered evidence at the scene. The cause is still being determined; anyone with information is asked to contact police.
