Man Drowns In Oshawa

Durham Regional Police say a man in his 30’s was pulled from a pool inside the Civic Recreation Complex in Oshawa without vital signs yesterday. The drowning was reported just before 1:30 at the facility near Thornton Rd. S. and King St. W. The victim was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto by air ambulance, and paramedics were unable to revive him. There was no word on what circumstances led to the incident.
