A fire in Pickering caused serious damage to ten businesses yesterday afternoon. It happened at a strip plaza at Krosno Blvd and Liverpool Rd shortly before 4pm. According to Pickering Fire Services seven trucks responded to the fire, which began in a restaurant and is believed to be accidental. One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall has been asked to investigate.
