Grainboys Gets Nod

After a heated meeting the Township of Uxbridge Council has approved plans to proceed with the proposed "Grainboys" project in Goodwood. Township Mayor Dave Barton says plans for the 40,000 square foot dry grain processing plant have been approved, however, there are still three conditions that have to be met before construction can begin. As far as weed control, the Township is consulting with an expert to make sure guidelines are in place to protect the local environment from contamination. The Mayor says Grainboys will have to come forward to council guaranteeing the conditions have been met before proceeding any further.
