GO Service To Expand

GO Train services will be expanding in Durham Region as of Monday. The Provincial Government has announced that 27 new trips will be added along the Lakeshore East corridor, doubling weekday, midday service between Oshawa and Union Station in Toronto, bringing the line to 15-minute service frequency. Ontario's Minister of Transportation John Yakabuski says more than 400,000 additional train seats will be available every week. The Government says the additional trips along the Lakeshore corridors are an increase in service by 18%, the largest service increase in five years.
