Recently the Durham West Jr Farmers screened the documentary "Before the Plate" which looks at the stories and people behind our food and how it gets to our plate. Gerrit Herrema says proceeds from the screenings are going right back into the community, and hopes the film helps bridge the gap between urban consumers and local farmers.
