Durham Regional Police say a father from Whitby has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his 19-year old son. Officers were called to a home near Manning Rd. and Anderson St. just before 12:30 Friday morning, where the teenager was suffering from serious but non-life threatening stab wounds; he was transported to a trauma centre in Toronto. The 48-year old suspect was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing; anyone with new information is asked to call Central West Division.
