Three people are dead following a serious two-car crash in Scugog early Saturday morning. The collision happened on Highway 7/12 at 4th Line at about 1:15am, when a northbound SUV crossed into the southbound lanes. The accident claimed the lives of a 59-year old woman from Goodwood, a 55-year old female passenger also from Goodwood, and a 44-year old female passenger from Port Perry. The SUV driver, a 68-year old man from Greenbank and a 41-year old woman from Goodwood were taken to hospital with serious injuries. OPP closed the intersection for investigate the cause of the crash; road conditions and weather were not factors.
