A 17-year old youth from Whitby involved in a collision in Oshawa over the weekend has succumbed to his injuries. He was struck by a vehicle late Friday night while walking on Conlin Av. near Thornton Rd. Two other men were with him at the time. He is the first pedestrian fatality victim in Durham Region in 2019; his name is not being released at the request of the family. Last year, a total of four pedestrians died on roads in the region.
