Weapons charges have been laid against a man in Oshawa who allegedly chased another man into traffic with a baseball bat on Friday morning. Police say 27-year old Scott Watson was stopped in the area of Simcoe St. N. and Richmond St. E. at 10:50am before he was able to strike the man with the bat. He was arrested and found to have a loaded handgun and drugs in his possession. Watson's charges include careless use of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm, in addition to breach of bail and probation conditions. He's also charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of drug possession for trafficking. Watson was held for a bail hearing.
