A 20-year old man from Whitby has been charged after a police chase involving a stolen car early yesterday morning. Officers deployed a spike belt to slow the driver down during the incident which began just after 1:30am on the QEW in Hamilton. The driver failed to stop, but was apprehended after his vehicle was blocked in when he reached Mississauga. The driver and three teenagers were arrested. Mehki Hyman is charged with dangerous driving, flight from police, obstructing police and possession of property obtained by crime. The three youths in the car are all charged with possession of property obtained by crime. No injuries were reported.
