A 26-year old man from Mississauga was killed in a collision on Taunton Rd. west of Brock Rd. in Pickering yesterday. The crash happened at about 8:15am when a black BMW crossed the center line and hit a loaded car-carrying transport truck. The BMW driver was pronounced dead at the scene; the transport truck driver, a 44-year old man from Pickering, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. This is the 10th fatality of the year on roads patrolled by Durham Regional Police.
