Dead Boater Identified

The body of a man found along the shore of Lake Ontario in Pickering is believed to be that of Kevin Wong, a boater from Toronto who went missing last week. Authorities say the boat belonging to the 31-year old was found beached at Rotary Park during the day on Thursday. The 17-foot aluminum vessel had a small trolling motor that was still running and fishing gear on board. A vehicle and trailer associated with the boat and the owner were found at a nearby launch site. According to police, Wong and another boater parted ways around 11:30am that morning after making fishing videos they intended to post online. Wong's body was found just before 10am on Tuesday this week by a person walking at Petticoat Creek Conservation Area.
