A man was arrested after a crossing guard was reportedly attacked in Ajax yesterday. It happened in the afternoon in the area of Salem Rd. and Williamson Dr. According to Durham Regional Police several witnesses said the crossing guard was struck in the head three or four times with a metal pipe or stick. The victim was conscious when police arrived and intervened. An investigation to the alleged incident has been launched.
