Crash Victim Dies In Hospital

A 76-year old man from Toronto has succumbed to his injuries following a two-car crash in Port Perry earlier this month. The collision occurred on Friday November 9th at about 2:30pm on Island Rd. north of Demara Rd., when he lost control of his northbound blue Hyundai and collided with a southbound Kia Sorento. A 61-year old female passenger from Toronto died at the scene. The driver of the Kia, a 70-year old woman from Scugog, was transported to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. There have been 22 roadway fatalities in Durham Region so far this year, five more than all of last year.
