Collier Fined After Allegations Of Forged Documents

The mayor of Ajax has been fined by the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada after allegations that he forged the financial documents of his clients. Disciplinary proceedings against Shawn Collier began in December 2018; as a result, he has been suspended from holding a supervisory role in finance, pending additional training. The MFDA is a self-regulatory body overseeing mutual fund dealers; in its allegations, claims were made that Collier obtained, possessed, and in some instances used 12 per-signed account forms to process transactions in respect of six clients between March of 2006 and February of 2017.
