A dirt bike rider was seriously hurt after a crash while off-roading on Sunday. The crash happened just before 1:30pm, when a 30-year old rider suffered multiple injuries near the Burketon Pits close to Enfield and Boundary Roads. According to police, the man crested a hill, struck a tree that was partially covering the route, and was thrown several meters as a result. He was wearing a helmet and protective gear, and was flown by air ambulance to a trauma centre.
