Police have confirmed that a 32-year old mother from Bowmanville has been charged after her eight-month old son was left alone in a hot vehicle at the Oshawa Centre on Sunday. The baby was found just after 4:30pm and it is believed he had been left alone inside the vehicle for about 45 minutes. Officers broke the window to get the child out; he was taken to hospital and is reportedly doing well. The mother was released on a notice to appear; her name was not released in order to protect the identity of the child.
