Alleged Plot To Murder Results In Charges

An Ajax man has been arrested following a police investigation into a reported conspiracy to murder a couple in Jamaica. 56-year old Fitz Hutchinson of Camilleri Rd. was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and counselling an offence that is not committed. He was located yesterday at around 7am on Highway 401 near Brock Rd. The investigation began in May when Durham Regional Police were made aware of an RCMP investigation into the alleged plot; they say the murder was not carried out but confirmed that a Canadian had traveled to the Caribbean in mid-may to help with the planning. Hutchinson was held for a bail hearing; the charges against him have not been proven.
