Alleged Gas Thief Nabbed

Investigators have identified the wanted suspect after several pump-and-runs in Durham Region. The gas thefts occurred between November and December of last year at six different gas stations between Clarington and Whitby, when the suspect fueled up his truck and drove off without paying. 36-year old Beau Jolicoeur of Balsam St. in Scugog is charged with operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, leaving an accident, using an incorrect license plate, and driving while under suspension. The charges against him have not been proven; he's being held for a bail hearing.
