Durham Regional Police are asking the public for help in identifying a woman wanted in connection with an alleged assault that left a man seriously injured last December. The victim was attempting to intervene in a fight involving several groups of people leaving bars on Brock St. in Whitby. The man sustained a head laceration that required treatment in hospital. His attacker is described as white, about 5-foot-4 with brown hair; she was wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark jeans, and white runners at the time. Images of the suspect can be seen at www.drps.ca. Anyone with information is asked to call police or CrimeStoppers.
