The woman charged with impaired driving after a fatal collision in Ajax has been released on $20,000 bail. 42-year old Melanie St. Louis of Kingston Rd. E. struck a vehicle headed eastbound from the Highway 401 ramp at Salem Rd. on November 19th. The victim, 50-year old Richard Lindsay of Oshawa, was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital. According to police, St. Louis was charged with impaired driving causing death and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol limit; she was released on bail with conditions of that include a night time curfew and her obstaining from alcohol and illegal drugs. She is due back in court on December 13th.
