The Torres Brothers

In 1991, Two brothers, (and pilots) Ed and Frank Torres founded SkyWords Media, an aerial advertising company. While flying high over the city of Toronto, the Torres brothers started reporting major accidents and closures to radio stations in the GTA.  Over the years, they expanded SkyWords into Canada’s largest independent radio network.  SkyWords Media provides a full range of radio content services from traffic, business and weather to marine radio reports.  Radio stations across Canada use SkyWords to provide their listeners with accurate real time information.

In spring 2010, the Torres brothers launched their first commercial radio station. 101.9 DAWG FM in Ottawa was Canada’s first and only all blues radio station. In 2015, Max 103 opened in Valleyfield Quebec a French station; to learn more visit www.max103.com. Also in 2015, 105.5 Hits FM opened in Uxbridge Ontario, which if you're on this website you can learn all about 105.5 Hits FM.
