23rd Annual Music in the Streets

Sponsored by Connors Music, and hosted by the merchants of Uptown Keswick, the event features musicians of all ages, from throughout Georgina, and fun activities planned for the whole family.

“Originally, we launched this event as a showcase for our students” said Paul Connors, long-time owner of the local music shop and lesson studio. “Over the years, it has grown into a community event, featuring bands & performers from across Georgina and area.” It has also served as a “first step” for local musicians, including Juno nominees “The Elwins” who performed at Music In The Streets many years ago”

As usual, 10 – 12 "stage" areas will be set up in front of the shops in the Queensway & Simcoe Avenue area, where there will be performances throughout the day. There will also be an “All-Day Barbecue”, with proceeds in support of local charities, and lots of great family activities.

Booth space along the street is available for private vendors and local non-profit agencies, taking advantage of reaching the 3000 – 3500 visitors to the Festival
