The Ministry of Transportation is continuing with construction to replace the Brock St. bridge over Highway 401 in Whitby. The highway will be closed for eight hours between Lakeridge Rd. and Thickson Rd. for bridge demolition from midnight to 8am this Sunday. Brock St. will also be closed in the vicinity of the bridge. As of Monday, Highway 407 will be closed both directions from the Enfield Rd. interchange to the Taunton Rd. interchange; this closure is require to complete the construction of key components of Highway 418 and Highway 407. During the closure, drivers may enter and exit the 407 at Enfield, Harmony, and west of Harmony. All interchanges west of Enfield Rd. are not impacted by the closure.
