A total of 14 new charges have been laid against an elementary school teacher from Whitby who is now accused of 15 counts of criminal sexual conduct with children under the age of 16. Thomas Grieve of Scugog Township now faces a total of 30 charges. The teacher at Robert Munsch Public School was arrested last month on eight counts of sexual assault and sexual interference; seven more counts were added after new allegations surfaced. Grieve also coached the Durham Rebels Volleyball Club, and also taught night school and summer school at numerous secondary schools. The Durham District School Board says he is currently on leave. None of the allegations against Grieve have been proven in court.
