A nice surprise came for Uxbridge Town Council this week with word that the Province, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, will be receiving $53,000 for downtown revitalization. The money is not connected to the upcoming culvert project. The Province is looking at helping rural communities attract investment and tourism and create jobs. Deputy Mayor Pat Malloy says Township Council has not allocated where the funds will be used. The money can be used for everything from landscaping to crosswalks to signage.
