A trio of deer crossing the road ended up causing a major collision in Uxbridge. Late Saturday night, Durham police say a vehicle stopped for the deer on Highway 7A near Goodwood Road and Higgins Lane. This caused another vehicle to slam into the back of the stopped vehicle and flip, eventually landing on its roof on the guardrail. Nobody was seriously injured, though the driver of the vehicle that flipped was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Ornge helicopters were called to the scene, but didn’t end up transporting anyone. Police are reminding you to be mindful of wildlife when driving on country roads.
