Mumps A Concern In Toronto Bars

17 cases of the mumps have now been reported involving people who have recently been to bars in downtown Toronto. Public Health officials are saying that the bars are not the ones responsible for the outbreak, it's the patrons who are exchanging saliva - either from sharing glasses or utensils, cigarettes, or of course, kissing. Mumps can also be spread by speaking in a crowded space for an extended period, or from coughing in close proximity to others.
