Sad news for those who grew up playing Pac Man; the game's creator has passed away at the age of 91. Masaya Nakamura was the founder of Namco, the company that invented the wildly popular video game in 1980. It sold more than 100,000 units in it's first year. Since then, the game has been adapted for cell phones, Nintendo, X-Box, Playstation, and even an animated film and TV series. According to the company, the idea for Pac Man's design was inspired by pizza, and the name came from the Japanese phrase "Paku Paku," to describe the sound of Pac Man eating dots.
